Project Manager

Job Description

Deliver effective implementations from purchase order to go-live for all assigned projects. A project manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within their scope, and efficiently while following the quality guidelines of the department.

Essential Functions

  • Lead remote meetings, utilize web sessions for product knowledge, maintain project plans, agendas/minutes, assist the client(s) in workflow analysis/design, device and interface testing, and post go-live closure. 
  • Support the Implementations team and the client(s) as needed.
  • Serve as the point of contact on assigned projects and perform a variety of highly skilled duties such as assembling, coordinating, and managing multi-disciplinary technical review teams.
  • Facilitate and troubleshoot the myriad of issues associated with developing complex systems or with coordinating and development, and design projects.
  • Provide highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management and personnel.
  • Respond to inquiries about projects.
  • Chair various project review and planning meetings.
  • Establish and maintain a liaison role, as required, with senior leadership.
  • Assist in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate schedules of staff and other interested parties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Skills and Requirements

  • This position requires a professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills; requires the ability to maintain control and professionalism in a healthcare environment with a high level of multitasking.
  • Experience with cardiology and/or respiratory departments is a plus, but not required.
  • An understanding of the technical aspects of software interfaces and standards that clinical and IT staff are continually working with.

Education and Experience

  • At least one (1) year experience in a hospital environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred 
  • XSL, MySQL, and HL7 preferred

Work Environment

  • This job operates as a remote telecommuting position. Working from home requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to have a space dedicated to work in the home. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee may be required to stand and/or walk; but is frequently in use of hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
    • This is a largely sedentary role, however, some filing and/or physical activity may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bending, standing, or climbing a step ladder, as necessary.
